Attic Lights
Bring You Down

Island

WE SAY

Attic Lights release Bring You Down as their next single, and an instantly enjoyable cut it is too. The Glasgow five-piece have just played a session for Dermot O'Leary on R2 and are confirmed for the Culture Show on BBC2. A string of sold out dates in Scotland sets up several festival dates for the summer and a spot at London Calling this week. Attic Lights' debut album, Friday Night Lights, is due in August - it was recorded with Francis McDonald of Teenage Fanclub as producer (who also manages them) with string arrangements from of Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn & John. We were not surprised to learn one of Teenage Fanclub is involved, as there are striking similarities between the two bands. This is delightful and well-produced indie music. JF London gig: June 18, London Calling @ Metro Club W1
