'A Thousand Shark's Teeth' is the second studio album from My Brightest Diamond, New Yorker Shara Worden. Formely a player in Sufjan Stevens' band she is now signed to his independent label Asthmatic Kitty. Classically-trained as a student, her self-produced album has a fantastic clash of minimalist strings and embellished experimental arrangements. The whole album is as intriguing as it is impressive and this track is a wonderful example of her talent. Early reviews in the UK have been positive getting 4 stars from both Simon Cosyns in The Sun and Dan Cairns in The Sunday Times, who wrote that it's "not for the fainthearted... but this is wondrous, magical music".
