Anderson East
Satisfy Me

Atlantic Records

WE SAY

Anderson East hails from Alabama, right in the heart of America’s deep south. He was 11 years old when he started singing and playing guitar, and his sound today is steeped in the years absorbing gospel music throughout his formative teens, thanks to his preacher grandfather and mother who played piano in church. His current producer Dave Cobb (who’s also worked with Sturgill Simpson) jumped at the chance to work on this record after seeing him play live at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, where he reportedly caused an absolute sensation. The best way to genuinely experience the full force of his work now is to catch him on stage. With forthcoming sold-out shows at The Troubadour in LA and The Bowery in New York soon, he first arrives in London this coming Monday (January 25) for a much-anticipated gig at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen. This gloriously authentic blues-soaked track comes from his major label debut album Delilah. You’ll hear swampy Stax-esque soul and fired-up blues combine to great effect. Satisfying, gratifying, absolutely no denying.
