Alex Winston is a 19-year-old from Detroit who stood out from the raft of unsigned tracks we get sent to our email submission address. She recently played a label showcase in New York and interest has since taken off. Since she graduated from high school, she has been working in the Detroit area with influential local producers Chris and Drew Peters, who have written and produced for Electric Six (in which Chris plays), Black Eyed Peas, Girls Aloud and Holly Valance, among others. Alex has the kind of quality rootsy, radio friendly sound in the vein of Sheryl Crow that could definitely find a home on both sides of the Atlantic. She is available to sign and is currently seeking management. JF
