We’ve been keeping tabs on Anglo-French artist and multi-instrumentalist Zoey Lily since she impressed us with the gorgeous I Wish I Had A Heart back in 2019. Brought up between London and a tiny village Les Mayons in the south of France, Lily has been creating delicious alt-pop. Along the way, she has caught the eye of BBC London, BBC Introducing, The Line of Best Fit, Notion, Noctis Magazine, Metal Mag, Guap Magazine, and many more. Plus, she featured in Tommy Hilfiger’s Music Takes Us Further campaign last year. With its moody tempo and hazy vibe, Friend, her first release of 2022, is a sublime and honest offering about unrequited love. Tastemaker support has come from Wordplay, Lock Mag and Wonderland, which premiered the video. A beautiful alt-pop gem.
