WE SAY
Yoann Lemoine aka Woodkid has made a somewhat unique leap from revered video director to musician with this fantastic brooding tribal onslaught. Yoann is known for his video creations, with clients including Yelle, Moby, Taylor Swift and more recently, Katy Perry for 'Teenage Dream'. American folk legend Richie Havens gave Yoann a banjo, and on the spot he decided to dedicate himself to music. This is the result, a debut EP by the name of Iron (out October 17), which is fragile and yet stern with incredible impact. Iron is BBC 6Music's video of the week, featuring UK model Agyness Deyn it has racked up over five million views. Woodkid headlines Bush Hall, London tonight (onstage at 9pm). Video.
