Tavian feat. Danny Dobson
17 Heartaches

unsigned

WE SAY

Tavian, a multi-talented guy with a warm soulful sound, could be the voice we've been missing in British soul talent. The voice is as smooth as the production, both of which Tavian took care of. His voice put us in mind of Prince; the song is reminiscent of an R Kelly gospel number. Tavian explains on his MySpace page that his friend, Danny Dobson, added the spoken verses after a heavy cold made him realise his voice was perfect for the song - it works. The end refrain, "I'm tired of waiting for her love", would be brutal from someone else’s mouth but completely melts the heart here. JF
