This was brought to our attention by TotalRock's Andy King who believes an explosion of a heavy funk/rock hybrid could be just around the corner (which makes sense given that hip hop and rock are the two leading youth genres right now). Project X are a fiercely independent black rock band at the hub of a burgeoning scene called The Revolution Movement. Hate is the highlight of their self-recorded album. Rough around the edges, yes, but this is David Bowie meets Eminem meets Evanescence meets System Of A Down, which sounds like an extraordinarily potent combination.
