This is instantly likeable electro-pop from Morton Valence, a six-piece London-based act. They produce disco-electronica with a pumping live rhythm section. Winners of last year's Fopp Award for New Music, the band has previously supported acts such as British Sea Power and Misty's Big Adventure. Two singles will be self-released in the summer; this uplifting gem will be among them. JF London gig: 8 April The Windmill, SW2
