It’s been just over a month since we last featured 22 year old Lucy McWilliams and her shimmering and cinematic single Break My Own Heart. The Dublin-born, Berlin-educated and now London-based singer-songwriter changes tact slightly on this elegant and mellow number. Leading with a jazzy piano melody, Bumblebees and Blue Skies, sees the rising star deliver a soulful vocal as the track transcends into a light indie-pop affair. Spotify UK added it to their New Music Friday playlist last Friday, but expect more additions to chilled playlists at DSPs, along with Irish radio and online support. Previous tastemaker support has come from BBC Radio 1, Earmilk, Wonderland, and more. Plus, on the live front, she has recently performed at Ireland Music Week and supported Jake Isaac. A warm and alluring single to add to her growing catalogue.
