WE SAY
Oxford-based band Little Brother Eli have certainly paid their dues since forming just over three years ago. They’ve performed their music at over a hundred different venues across the UK, played many of Europe’s leading showcase events for new music including The Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival. Last month they released their debut album Cold Tales, which features this absolute bruiser of a tune. And it’s a bit of a corker. Hitting you right between the eyes, this indie guitar sucker punch comes flying at you with drums pounding and guitars cranked right up for maximum impact. It’s a track that’s already found support with Dermot O’Leary at Radio 2, Alex Lester on his weekend shows and from the Team Rock radio crew. They’re back playing live in London tomorrow night (July 27) at The Monarch in Camden and then head off to Germany for a short tour in September where their profile is building nicely. It’s great to see and hear more cool, blues-tinged British rock like this cutting through, especially when it's so confidently delivered as this. Play it loud.
