WE SAY
With its warm, acoustic guitar melody and soft harmonies, ‘Sinner’ is the latest release from Lei Hope, the project of Manchester-based musician Hope Chiguvo. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Leeds, Lei Hope first caught the attention of tastemakers with his self-released debut EP 'Autonomous Affection' in 2021 and live performances at Beyond The Music and Manchester Psych Fest last year. Taken from his forthcoming seven track EP, ‘Matrices’, the single captures the melancholic drift of wrestling with ideas of Christianity, family, faith and how losing one has repercussions on the other. Watch the video here. Tastemaker support for his music has come from The Line Of Best Fit, DIY, Wordplay, CMU, and more. Next month, he will support Zach Templar on his UK and EU tour, with a date at the Village Underground on 15 May.
