LARWOOD & KOH ft. Safiyyah
Soon

unsigned

WE SAY

Let us introduce you to the emerging duo Larwood & Koh. Producer KOH, an ex-metal bassist from Kingston-upon-Thames, first saw Lancashire-born, London-bred lyricist Larwood pop-up on his Instagram feed in 2019 and decided to send him a message to work together after hearing his lyricism. Since then, the duo have dropped their debut EP ‘Score’, featuring Verbz, and seen their boom-bap inspired grime and UK rap pick up tastemaker support from Chuck D, Wordplay, The Pit London, Conversations About Her and  Sofar Sounds. With its laidback groove and beat, ‘Soon’ sees Larwood joined by the melodic and soulful vocals of Safiyyah as he raps about faith, family and aspirations. It’s a sublime introduction and worthy of additions to soulful rap/alt rap editorial playlists at DSPs and spins at specialist shows at Radio 1, 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Kiss and Reprezant.
