If I Had A Boat
WE SAY
James Vincent McMorrow's self-titled debut EP comes out next week via Believe Digital in the UK and the influential Vagrant Records in the US (home to The Hold Steady, Edward Sharpe and School of Seven Bells). Comprising of two album tracks and two demos, this introductory EP precedes a full album release in early 2011 – If I Had A Boat is currently available as a free download. His excellent debut album Early in the Morning, on which this track appears, went to No1 on iTunes in Ireland earlier this year and received wide critical acclaim- 'one of the first truly great albums of the decade' said The Dubliner magazine. On the back of extensive touring in the US with Bell X1, McMorrow starts UK dates with gig upstairs at Ronnie Scott's this week. A fragile-sounding yet stirring introduction to a superb new talent.
