Instantly captivating from the first note, this stripped-back song from Jae Franklin lets her stunning and soulful voice shine brightly throughout. Born in Houston, Texas, Jae’s musical career began when she and her sister were in a band at grade school called Girls Tyme along with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland shortly before they formed Destiny’s Child. In more recent times, she's settled in Dubai but has travelled the world, performing and working for a variety of charities. It’s those experiences that have helped shape her music and sound, especially on this track which features on her forthcoming album Cheers To Life. Lyrically it’s a thought-provoking examination of the day to day struggles that we all put ourselves through but one that’s ultimately filled with hope that global solutions can be found to prevent social injustice. That big dream is wrapped up in this soulful, piano-led song, written and produced by her collaborator Kwame Busia. Emotional. powerful and inspiring, this will touch everyone who opens up and listens.
