Here’s an absolute joy to kick-start your Friday and weekend in style. Drawing on ’80s dance euphoria, glistening Scandi cool, and irresistible French sexy pop vibes, Cindy is the new single from rising Icelandic alt-pop star Heidrunna. It follows her previous two singles, Borderline and Erasing You, which have picked up tastemaker support from Spotify (NMF, Fresh Finds), Amazing Radio, Independent, Euphoria, Wonderland and many more. Produced by Liam Howe (Lana Del Rey, Marina, FKA twigs and Ellie Goulding) and sung entirely in her native Icelandic, Cindy is one hell of a feel-good, symphonic dancefloor filler. Expect to see this appear on electro/synth-pop and feelgood playlists over the coming weeks, and we wouldn't be surprised if you hear it on 6 Music too. Later this month (21 April), the south London-based artist will drop her debut album Melodramatic, but in the meantime, just hit play and soak in this gorgeous tune.
