Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova
Falling Slowly

ANTI

WE SAY

We've long been fans of Glen Hansard's work with The Frames, so it was particularly gratifying to see him receive the Oscar for Best Original Song this week for this track, from indie movie 'Once'. It appeared on 'The Swell Season', Glen and Marketa's collaborative album which is out now on Epitaph's sister label ANTI. It also featured on The Frames' album 'The Cost'. A slow-burning and beautiful piece of music that ranks respectably amongst the best of his work with The Frames - here's hoping they can make the most of their well-deserved recent success and exposure. Tipped to us originally by journalist Lisa Verrico, who played the soundtrack at our ITC round table last October. JF
