Ellen and the Escapades

Since winning the Glastonbury Emerging talent competition in 2010 Ellen and the Escapades have been touring extensively, selling out shows and winning over fans. So many fans in fact that their debut album 'All the Crooked Scenes' has been completely funded by them after achieving its pledge campaign target in only a week. The Ben Hillier- [Depeche Mode, Horrors, Maccabees et al] mixed ‘Without You’ is a beautiful combination of husky delicate female vocals married to a feisty upbeat backing, which is punctuated by an edgy harmonica. It's part folk, part country and part indie, producing the perfect cross over summer sound. Radio support has been strong with the single already having been picked up by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music.
