As sub-genres of UK dance music seem to evolve at an excitingly fast rate, and get re- packaged regularly, this Egypt track is a proponent of UK Funky. Rising from the offshoots of the UK garage scene, we suppose that UK Funky is a subtle extension of bassline. This instantly addictive Fuzzy Logik-produced track was originally an underground release back in January but now looks set to be the first record from this scene to have big crossover success, with a major release at the end of the summer. Kiss 100 added it straight to the upfront list eight weeks ahead of release and it has had months of upfront support on BBC 1Xtra too. JF
