21-year-old multi-award-winning Nigerian superstar Davido is currently one of Africa's biggest musical acts, after shifting an estimated three million copies of his debut album O.B.O.. Now comes the invasion of the UK and the rest of the world too with this ridiculously infectious slice of afrobeat, produced by Nigerian hitmaker Shizzi. Already A-listed at Radio 1Xtra and championed there by DJ Edu and Trevor Nelson, support has also come Kiss, Capital Xtra and from UK TV music channels AKA and Flava. It's the sound of sweaty summer days and warm evenings partying the night away. It's also the sound of carnival. Quite simply, feel-good beats and a happy vibe. Need a further sign as to how big this club banger could potentially explode right now? Well, a recent #CanUSkelewu competition gave fans worldwide the chance online to win a £2000 cash prize by sending in their best Skelewu dance routines, by following an instructional video showing how to do the moves. 2.8 million views later, amongst the 100,000+ entrants, there was even one from Premier League striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Surely he doesn't need the dosh?!
