David Ford
State of The Union

Fierce Panda

WE SAY

Last time we featured former Easyworld singer David Ford, he was completely free of record and publishing deals. Now he has the right kind of deals. Alan Pell at Stage 3 heard him first thanks to our feature, and signed his publishing as a result. And Fierce Panda (who put out an early Easyworld single) will release his debut mini album. State Of The Union is the promo and download single, and David has made an excellent 'live in the studio in one take' video which is streaming at his website . We've seen him perform this live - it's powerful, disconcerting and topical. A major talent who might be wilfully uncommercial, except that he can't help writing good tunes. London dates include the 100 Club tonight (June 16), Barfly on July 1, the Borderline on July 6, and the Wireless Festival on July 1.
