Our last Ones To Watch 2024 for this week is DJ/producer cassö from Maidenhead. It’s been a phenomenal year for the 21 year old who was catapulted from obscurity to international acclaim this summer with his global hit ‘Prada’. Originally spun off ‘Ferrari Horses’ by D Block Europe featuring Raye, the edit was used to play at cassö’s uni house parties in Swansea, but it caught the attention of the masses when he decided to upload it on Soundcloud and TikTok. The track quickly topped the global Soundcloud chart as well as the UK and US ones and went on to peak at No.2 on the OCC chart and enter the top 5 in nine markets. Along the way, ‘Prada’ was championed by Radio 1, Capital FM and Kiss FM, as well as supported heavily at DSPs with additions and covers on key playlists at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer and YouTube. Since the release, cassö has worked alongside Tate McRae, Alok, David Guetta and Oliver Heldens, performed at a string of sold-out international shows and seen ‘Prada’ amass over 200m global streams and half a million TikTok creations. With the undeniable ability to create an absolute banger, we believe cassö has all the makings to be a breakout dance music superstar of 2024.
