WE SAY
There's already a kind of soothing familiarity to the tones of Ali Love, one half of dance duo Infinity Ink and the voice of EDM supergroup Hot Natured, with whom he has played virtually every major festival this summer including a Glastonbury Dance Stage headline spot. He goes deeper on new solo single Another, his second for Crosstown Rebels - that honeyed vocal buoyed by a bottom end less bassline than bass thrum, propelled by a driving, glitchy four-to-the-floor beat. Co-written and co-produced by Chemical Brothers engineer Steve Dub, Another comes with remixes from Felix Da Housecat and Tuff City Kids, picking up specialist support at Kiss, Xfm, 1Xtra, 6Music and Radio 1, where it has earned spins from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Skream & Benga and, of course, Pete Tong, who has awarded Love six Essential New Tunes in succession across all three of his projects. Catch him with Hot Natured at the Roundhouse next month, with a solo album dropping next year.
