WE SAY
Signed by RCA last year and managed by Steve Morton (The Hoosiers, The Automatic), Absent Elk are a five piece made up of Norwegian singer songwriter Kjetil Morland and the rest of his band from Shoreham near Brighton. They've supported The Hoosiers, Das Pop and The Script on their UK tour. Sun And Water is their first single, and on the evidence of this and the rest of their album sampler, they occupy the same space as both aforementioned bands with well-crafted, radio-friendly fare. They have finished recording their debut album with producer Toby Smith. JF London gig: March 10, Curious Generation at The Fly WC1
