The BRIT Awards with Mastercard launches Season 4 of acclaimed podcast series 02 Oct 2025
The Red Carpet Treatment - On The Road Presented by Mastercard
Hosted by Luke Hamnett
Sam Ryder kicks off fourth series - episode 1 available to watch in full on @BRITs YouTube or on @BRITs social channels
The BRIT Awards with Mastercard today announces details of the fourth season of the official podcast The Red Carpet Treatment, now re-branded as The Red Carpet Treatment - On The Road presented by Mastercard, after three seasons bringing all the gossip from the world of music and entertainment to music fans since first launching in 2022.
The new series is presented by acclaimed Instagram and TikTok creator Luke Hamnett, who takes the reins from Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens, who presented the last two series. Luke interviews guests in the back of a VIP car, catching up on a range of topics including career highlights, current projects and their experience of all things BRITs as they hit the road.
On being asked to present the new series, Luke said: “Working with The BRITs is genuinely such a dream … and this Red Carpet Series is actually iconic – if I do say so myself! Meeting these incredible artists, casually in the back of a car, whilst driving around was such a fun experience. Obviously, because I’m nosey, we got a bit cheeky. We played games, had a right laugh and most importantly, I sang to them all and I’m still awaiting my record deal. Simon Cowell, if you’re reading this, hit me up!”
The first episode launches TODAY with BRIT-nominated singer-songwriter and musician Sam Ryderspeaking to Luke about his phenomenal trajectory since debut single ‘Space Man’ skyrocketed him to the forefront of the music industry. With a #1 album, billions of streams, stadium performances, a BRIT performance (in 2023) and now a brand new album, Heartland, set for release for 17th October, Luke gets all the lowdown from Sam on what has been going on with him.
Episodes of The Red Carpet Treatment - On The Road presented by Mastercard will drop weekly every Wednesday until 26th November. Other guests set to appear in this series include Charley Marlowe, Katy B, Nova Twins, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Aston Merrygold andSigrid.
Check out the first podcast episode HERE, available to watch in full on YouTube or across @BRITs social channels.
SAM RYDER EPISODE 1 - Sam talks to Luke about…
Maintaining his hair
I don’t do anything. I was in a multi-story car park 5 minutes ago spraying hairspray as prep. I sleep with it fresh out of the shower, wet. I have no idea about skincare, shampoo. I didn’t know there was a difference between shampoo and conditioner. I used to wash my face with Carex as well.
Previous jobs
Before everything kicked off and while I was doing carpentry and stuff, I did some other bits. I was singing at weddings, and I owned a juice bar. But I loved doing weddings in Essex. Because it's a wedding, people couldn't care less about you and your band. They're meeting people they haven’t seen in ages, people they've had feuds with for years. I’ve seen it all, man. I've seen fistfights, like one of the waiters nicked a bunch of bottles of alcohol from behind the bar and the guy whose wedding it was, the groom, just literally lumped him right in front of the stage while we were playing Get Down On It.
Performing at Wembley Arena
If you would have asked me [if I would be performing at Wembley] when I was 13 years old, I’d be like ‘yeah of course’. But if you ask me now, I still can’t believe it. I think you have this kind of deluded confidence when you’re young, which is so crucial to have when you're picking up a guitar for the first time, 'cause ultimately, when you're that age, you're rubbish.
Helping to build Wembley Stadium with his dad
Luke: Am I right in saying that you helped build Wembley with your dad?
Sam: I did, Wembley Stadium, which we’re not playing at Wembley Stadium, it’s far too big, and they wouldn’t allow me back anyway because I hung the doors awfully.
How it felt to be nominated for a BRIT Award
This is our second nomination we got [Song of the Year]. The first time [Best New Artist], you take it so seriously. You're like, oh, you know, maybe we could win. And then, you kind of don't! And then the next time you go, it's quite nice, because I was in a category I knew there was no chance we're going to win, so I actually had a way better time.
Out of all the 2025 BRIT Award nominees, who Sam would collaborate with
Adrianne Lenker - she was nominated for Best International, I think so highly of her as a songwriter, she's I reckon one of the best lyricists around at the moment which is incredible.
