Former Global Music Rights COO O’Malley works to further improve publishing collections

US-based music publishing administrator Regard Music has officially joined IMPEL for pan-European licensing of its represented works. 

Regard Music is the boutique publishing services company founded by Sean O’Malley – an experienced executive with more than 20 years of experience in in music publishing and its respective operations, including licensing, royalty collection and distribution, data processing and systems development. 

With manager Irving Azoff and former ASCAP executive Randy Grimmett, O’Malley created the first new Performing Rights Organization in the United States in 75 years with the foundation of Global Music Rights in 2013. Prior to that, he worked at ASCAP for eight years and supervised a large, multi-coast team to resolve collection issues on behalf of its members.

Regard’s growing client list includes a number of highly successful songwriters and composers, including international superstar Robin Thicke, 4-time Grammy winner Lyle Lovett, New Orleans pianists James Booker and Professor Longhair, singer-songwriter Kat Edmonson, South London singer and producer Kay Young and online meditation company Headspace.
