Natasha Bedingfield: Celebrating 20 Years of ‘Unwritten’
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album 'Unwritten', Grammy and multiple BRIT nominated Natasha Bedingfield (@natashabedingfield) has experienced a remarkable resurgence on TikTok, amassing a following of over 2 million. The album's lead single, also titled 'Unwritten', continues to inspire joy and creativity, undergoing a major revival on the platform. This renewed popularity was boosted after the song was featured in the blockbuster romcom ‘Anyone But You,’ and has since been used in over 1 million video creations.
Another classic, 'These Words', has also had a massive moment on TikTok this year, after a vibrant rework from dance producer Badger brought the track to a new generation of listeners. Known for her uplifting lyrics and infectious melodies, she's set to raise the roof of the Team GB House in Paris and will bring the Olympic spirit to our community on TikTok.
Commenting on her performance at Team GB House, Natasha Bedingfield said: “I'm so excited to celebrate our incredible athletes at Team GB House representing Britain at the games in Paris. It's been amazing to see how songs like 'Unwritten' and 'These Words' have found a totally new audience on TikTok so I hope everyone watching will enjoy celebrating what’s going to be a special moment in support of Team GB.”
Cat Burns: A Breakthrough Star on TikTok
Joining Natasha Bedingfield will be multi-BRIT nominated and double platinum selling artist Cat Burns (@catburnss), whose journey on TikTok has been nothing short of extraordinary. Having joined TikTok in 2020, Cat’s hit song ‘go’ became a global sensation and a soundtrack for the community from relationship advice to renovation transformations.
One of TikTok's Breakthrough Artists in 2022, Cat signed a record deal with Since 93 / RCA Records and has since collaborated with icons like Sam Smith, toured with Ed Sheeran, reaching number 2 on the UK charts and has now released her eagerly awaited top ten debut album 'early twenties' alongside a short film to coincide with the release. With over 1.9 million followers on TikTok, Cat Burns continues to grow her fanbase and share her music with the world with honest, relatable and introspective storytelling.
When asked about performing at Team GB House next month, Cat Burns said, "The Olympics are about positivity and inclusion and I hope my performance at Team GB House for TikTok In The House will play a small part in celebrating the wonderful British talent we have at the Games for 2024. I love interacting with my fans on TikTok and can’t wait to share this moment with them."
Rollo Goldstaub, Global Head of Sports Partnerships at TikTok UK said: "As an Official Partner to Team GB and ParalympicsGB, we wanted to help ignite the Olympic spirit by bringing together some of the UK's most talented stars across sports and music. Both Natasha Bedingfield and Cat Burns are among the most loved artists on TikTok. We're delighted that they'll be performing at our TikTok In The House LIVE at Team GB House, as part of our ongoing campaign and partnership to bring the magic of the Olympic and Paralympics Games to the community on TikTok."
Tim Ellerton, Commercial Director at Team GB, said: “The Olympic Games is the pinnacle of years of hard work for our athletes and support staff, so it’s only right that they get the opportunity to celebrate once their competition has completed. We’re delighted that those cheering our athletes from back home will get the chance to join the party from Team GB House on TikTok.”
Nicola Jones, Senior Manager at ALDI said: “As Team GB's Biggest Fan, ALDI is delighted to be the Presenting Partner of this hero TikTok celebration of Athletes. We are excited to celebrate with Team GB and their Nearest and Dearest in Paris, and with the British Fans back home via TikTok and the Fanzones! Watch out for our own special guest...!”
