MPG Awards 2025 - Winners 25 Apr 2025
The Music Producers Guild, in association with Dolby and Mix With The Masters, has revealed the winners of their 2025 MPG Awards at a sold-out celebration at The Troxy in East London. The night honoured the producers, engineers and studios who are shaping the future of recorded music.
Topping the evening’s accolades, A. G. Cook was named Producer of the Year, recognised for his groundbreaking work at the frontier of electronic pop music with the likes of Charli XCX. Fellow Dux Content member, Danny L Harle was awarded Writer-Producer of the Year.
It was a big year for music studios, the MPG recently introduced two new categories, recognising the importance of different types of recording environments. The winners of these inaugural awards were Guy Chambers’ Sleeper Sounds, named Small Commercial Studio of the Year, and Paul Epworth’s The Church Studios, which took home the title of Large Commercial Studio of the Year. These awards underscore how crucial studios are to the ecosystem of the music industry.
Celebrating fresh talent on the rise was Isabel Gracefield who won Breakthrough Producer Of The Year and Animesh Raval who took home Breakthrough Engineer Of The Year - presented by the previously acclaimed honouree Fraser T Smith, marking a profound moment of recognition from one of the UK’s leading producers.
An emotional and inspiring moment came with Woody Cook presenting his father, Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), with the Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award.
Paul Epworth received the MPG Icon Award, presented by artist and collaborator Baxter Dury and MNEK was awarded Vocal Producer Of The Year.
The Special Recognition Award was presented to Lauren Laverne by Guy Garvey, in a moving tribute to her cultural influence and support for UK artists.
Catherine Marks, Executive Director of the MPG, commented: “The 2025 MPG Awards at The Troxy was a powerful reminder of the incredible talent and dedication that drives our industry at a pivotal time. From trailblazers to future stars, the night was a celebration of the people and studios behind the sound – those who continue to shape the future of music.”
