International Music Summit (IMS Ibiza Summit), the leading platform for industry, culture and education in electronic music, returns for its thirteenth edition in April 2022 following a two-year hiatus. One of the first major global industry gatherings to take place since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the summit will reunite the entire ecosystem of the genre for three-days of purposeful conversation, connection and celebration.
Co-presented by BBC Radio 1 broadcasters Pete Tong MBE and Jaguar, the summit will continue its pledge to highlight and focus on its core values to an industry emerging and re-building following the devastating impact of the global pandemic.
Adopting a no-panel policy for the first time in the history of the summit, IMS Ibiza Summit 2022 will curate a series of keynotes, lectures, conversations, workshops and sessions with industry thought-leaders who will bring their extensive knowledge and experience to analyse and identify best practice that the electronic music industry can adopt, rooted in the core values of IMS; sustainability, climate action, equality, innovation, collaboration, transparency, education, mental health and wellbeing. A sensitively designed program will be presented to thousands of delegates from over fifty countries, built to inspire and serve as a catalyst for positive change across the industry, from the boardroom to the dancefloor.
Highlights of the summit include; a carefully crafted three-day content agenda; speed networking and official summit networking events; the IMS Legends Award dinner honoring an icon of the scene; free access to all delegates to the IMS wellness platform The Art of ARETÉ villa; daily yoga and breathwork; The IMS College x Point Blank Education Hub featuring workshops and masterclasses; the shesaid.so Safer Space presenting their own curated content and offering a creche facility to all delegates; the Bye Bye Plastic & EarthPercent Eco Lounge showcasing the latest in Green innovations; entry to opening parties and events across the island; the legendary IMS Dalt Vila seven-hour closing celebration in Ibiza Old Town - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Recognising the need to mitigate the environmental impact of the summit, a 5% donation will be added to the price of all delegate badges, each donation will be match funded by IMS and used to fund carbon removal initiatives, working in partnership with A Greener Festival. This is one step in a series of actions that will be implemented at the summit to ensure best practice in core summit values is not only highlighted, but also acted upon.
Moving a month earlier in the calendar to the end of April, IMS Ibiza Summit 2022 will be the catalyst for an island vibrant with visitors earlier than ever before as it unveils a series of new music and travel experiences created with an eclectic mix of the world's biggest artists and brands. The relaunched IMS Ibiza Summit will see 20,000 music lovers and fans from across the globe joining delegates in enjoying the best of Ibizan hospitality, gastronomy, nightlife and culture at unmissable, immersive experiences hosted at some of Ibiza's most iconic locations and globally renowned clubs.
IMS co-founder Ben Turner states: "It is time for change, so we start here. The temporary switch-on was a strong indication that many of our industry had forgotten the many values discussed and debated during the lockdown, so expect IMS Ibiza Summit to take the conversation forwards again as we go In Pursuit of Purpose. We're removing the multi-person panels to allow bigger amplification of thinking from less dominant but equally as inspiring individuals - you will not hear the 'panel' word at IMS Ibiza Summit 2022! We can't wait to help open the Ibiza season alongside our fellow club owners and operators on the island."
IMS Ibiza Summit's new co-host Jaguar says: "Co-hosting IMS Ibiza Summit 2022 with the legend Pete Tong is truly a dream come true. I've learnt so much from attending the summit over the years and I feel so strongly about bringing through the next wave of electronic artists and opening doors for my generation. I'm excited to head up forward-thinking conversations and inspire and get to know new artists."
Badges to the summit are available to purchase now via the IMS website via exclusive ticketing partner Skiddle. Early Bird Delegate badges are priced at €295, badge prices will increase in price after two weeks and on the first of each month thereafter. Student badges are once again priced at €99 with Under 27 badges priced at €150, with all badge tiers available on four month payment plans. A new Eco badge priced at €150 is also available for any delegates travelling to Ibiza using sustainable travel (train & ferry). Destino 3 and 4 night hotel packages are also available.
