Wales’ largest music, science and arts festival, GreenMan, today announces the full music lineup and day splits for its sold-out 2025 edition. The festival returns to the epic surroundings of the Black Mountains, deep in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park from the 14th - 17th of August.
The latest names announced for Green Man 2025 include London-based jazz collective KOKOROKO, British funk legends Cymande, gothic post-punk newcomer Heartworms, New York shoegaze quintet Been Stellar, American singer-songwriter Cass McCombs, post-industrial ravers Factory Floor, and Dublin rock giants Gurriers, among many others.
With ten music stages showcasing a diverse lineup of artists across multiple genres, Green Man also invites festival-goers to explore the wonders of the natural world in Einstein’s Garden, unwind and recharge in Nature Nurture, and enjoy a pint at the festival’s very own Welsh beer and cider celebration in the Courtyard. Alongside a dedicated children’s area, comedy, literature talks, and performing arts, all of the festival’s beloved features will return to the Bannau Brycheiniog this August.
Those with a Settler’s Pass, a special ticket which includes discounts on local heritage sites, galleries, castles and more, will arrive on Monday 11th August for a week in the Welsh mountains as part of their Green Man 2025 experience.
Bringing high funk energy to the festival, Far Out Stage headliners Cymande are set to get crowds moving deep into the final hours of Sunday. They’ll take spectators on a journey from their timeless 1970s classics to the bold new sounds of their latest album, Renascence, released at the beginning of 2025.
On Thursday night at the Far Out Stage, British post-punk breakout act Heartworms will ignite the evening with their fearless, raw energy, followed by Dublin’s noise-rock quintet, Gurriers, who will bring the intensity to new heights. After returning from an eight year hiatus last year, London post-industrial titans Factory Floor are also set to unleash their monolithic loops and motorik beats on an entranced crowd into the early hours.
The celebrated London-based Afrobeat collective KOKOROKO will offer their radiant blend of jazz and Afrobeat to the festival, playing the penultimate set on the Far Out Stage on Saturday night. Led by Sheila Maurice-Grey and Onome Edgeworth, the septet will treat audiences to fresh cuts from their upcoming sophomore album, Tuff Times Never Last, set for release a month prior to Green Man.
Over at the Walled Garden Stage, Ethereal electronic folk artist Lucy Gooch will welcome early spectators on Saturday afternoon, while British retro-pop songwriter Iraina Mancini will charm audiences with her sounds inspired by 1960s French cinema and psychedelia on Sunday. Green Man is no stranger to inviting international acts to grace its stages with New York City rockers Been Stellar and Copenhagen-based Danish-Chilean producer Molina bringing their global talents to eager listeners later on the same stage on the festival’s closing day.
Elsewhere, American musician and songwriter Cass McCombs will captivate audiences with his striking alt-pop incantations and enigmatic poeticism at the Mountain Stage on Sunday afternoon. This follows the much-anticipated return of dazzling folk artist Hannah Frances, who will be the first to take to the same stage on the festival’s final day.
Raising the tempo even higher is Jamz Supernova - AKA broadcaster, DJ, and Future Bounce record label owner Jamilla Walters - who will play the After Dark Stage on Saturday night. Meanwhile, at the Walled Garden After Dark Stage, festival-goers can keep the party going to dynamic DJ sets from Grammy nominated trio PVA on Friday, and W.H. Lung’s Tom Sharkett on Saturday.
For those seeking a change of pace and endless variety, the Round The Twist Stage will be hosting live sets, secret slots and curated takeovers from the likes of Central London music venue and nightclub The Social, and independent record label PRAH Recordings. Festival-goers can also expect DJ sets from queer industrial pop sensation Lynks, French-American art pop duo Faux Real, game-changing Bristol producer Grove, and BBC’s Ros Atkins.
Green Man continues its legacy of spotlighting the most exciting emerging voices with the Rising Stage, showcasing some of the best new talent across genres and offering audiences a glimpse of music’s future. After winning this year’s Green Man Rising Competition, wing! will open Green Man Festival 2025 performing on the iconic Mountain Stage on Friday. Other fresh faces making their mark at this year’s festival include Welsh four-piece MORN; rising rock stars KEO; Green Man Rising Competition runners-up Shale and A Lesser Version;soul-stirring singer-songwriter Ella Ion; North Yorkshire folk eccentric Natalie Wildgoose and much more.
