Germany’s most successful female artist of the 21st Century, will release new album ‘Rausch’ in October

Germany's most successful musical artist, Helene Fischer, and Universal Music Germany, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world-leader in music-based entertainment, today announced a new long-term extension of their hugely successful partnership.

Having first signed with EMI Records in 2005, before moving to Universal Music Germany in 2013 after the companies merged, Helene Fischer has continued to reach unprecedented career heights in Germany and Central Europe, consistently breaking sales records and achieving career milestone after milestone, with combined album sales exceeding 16.3 million. Since 2013, Helene Fischer has topped Germany’s annual sales charts on five separate occasions, more than any other artist in German chart history. Her much-loved album “Farbenspiel”, has sold more than 2.7 million copies, Germany’s most successful album of the past decade. Her mega-hit "Atemlos durch die Nacht" is the most successful German download single of all time and Helene is one of Germany’s most streamed female artists.

Helene Fischer’s record achievements are only outperformed by her service to the hugely popular genre of pop-schlager music in Germany. With her personality and music, she has successfully repositioned the entire genre. One might even say that she has reinvented it. Through breathtaking concerts to sold-out arenas and stadiums, she has delivered her trademark world-class performances to millions of fans across Europe, and through her own prime-time TV show on ZDF, has enchanted the nation with many special musical moments, collaborations, and performances over the past 10 years.

Together, Helene Fischer and her long-term Polydor/Island label team, have been united by a constant determination to make progress, turn new musical ideas into reality and create exciting entertainment and hits for her many fans. This new deal marks the beginning of an exciting new era for the collaborative partnership. Next year, Fischer will perform the biggest concert of her career to date in Munich, selling 100,000 tickets in under 24 hours. Her forthcoming new studio album "Rausch", due out on 15th October 2021, looks set to write the next chapter in her record-breaking success story.
