found.ee and RoyFi Launch Innovative “Market to Recoup†Partnership to Accelerate Advance Recoupment for Artists 20 Jun 2023
The joint venture aims to boost financial capital for artists and revolutionize traditional recoupments in the music industry
Music funding platform, RoyFi, and found.ee, the Downtown-owned digital marketing and advertising platform, have announced “Market to Recoup,” a brand new partnership that provides access to advance recoupment for artists at an accelerated pace. The initiative gives RoyFi creators access to nearly 10% back from every dollar spent on found.ee advertising, which allows their advance to recoup at a faster pace for artists by automatically accounting their found.ee advertising toward what they owe.
“In traditional music advances, marketing budgets often put artists in a further financial hole with each dollar spent,” Jason Hobbs, found.ee President, said. “found.ee and RoyFi have flipped the script so that digital marketing and even TV advertising will generate financial benefits beyond measurable impact and will accelerate an artists’ recoupment. It’s a revolutionary concept for creators.”
As part of the joint effort, RoyFi creators will utilize found.ee’s self-service marketing platform and live reporting dashboard, which gives users full transparency over their own first-party data and access to powerful digital marketing tools, including tailored interactive ads, customizable landing pages, remarketing capabilities and more. RoyFi creators using found.ee will also be able to reach more fans in a more cost-effective manner through interactive HTML5 ad units and connected TV pre-roll video ads that offer access to premium television programming at about four cents per completed view.
"RoyFi is giving artists and creators the power to shape their own careers by giving them the capital they need, when and how they need it,” RoyFi CEO Peter Harvey said. “found.ee shares this aim, and our partnership will give creatives the boost they need to both promote their music and recoup their advances faster, with 100% of any revenue share going back to recoup the advance. We can’t wait to see the positive impact this will have on the creative community."
As creator-first companies, RoyFi and found.ee both seek to empower creatives, disrupt the status quo and create innovative solutions that fit the needs of today’s creators. Acquired by Downtown Music Holdings in 2021, found.ee is widely used throughout the music industry, found.ee has empowered thousands of artists, creators, and companies to harness their own first-party data audiences through found.ee’s robust integrated marketing platform. As a fintech company for creatives, RoyFi gives artists, musicians, producers, and songwriters access to affordable capital with low rates and 100% control of their rights.
RoyFi creators now have access to found.ee’s “Market to Recoup” feature to recoup about 10% of every dollar spent on advertising services. Users will also receive access to powerful first-party data tools and marketing and advertising services tailor-made for today’s creators. Together, RoyFi and found.ee are empowering modern-day artists to take control of their careers by revolutionizing the traditional process of recoupment that hindered artists and their growth in years past.
