Bucks Music Group signs Ivory Layne 18 May 2021
A rising star in Nashville, Layne is signed to Justin Timberlake’s Villa40 artist development company
Bucks Music Group has signed Ivory Layne to an exclusive, worldwide publishing deal.
Layne’s career took flight when demos she had produced in her bedroom and posted online caught the attention of Grammy Award-winning producer Ed Cash. The pair wrote, produced, and released her first EP, Volume One.
Moving from her hometown of Denver, North Carolina, to Nashville, Layne went on to write with some of Music City’s top name’s including Jimmy Robbins, Shane McAnally, and Lori McKenna.
The title track from her second EP, Something’s Gonna Happen, was plucked for two global ad campaigns and Layne was signed by Justin Timberlake’s artist development company Villa40 soon after.
At the start of 2021, Layne released her much anticipated EP, Confetti, with production from duo Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway (Lewis Capaldi, James Bay), Jimmy Robbins and Layne herself. Her single Lonely Hearts is currently on BBC Radio 2’s A list.
