BBC Radio 6 Music presents New Music Fix Live in Glasgow this November 26 Sep 2023
Today on their New Music Fix Daily show on BBC Radio 6 Music (7-9pm), Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant announced New Music Fix Live – a four-day celebration of emerging artists and Glasgow's vibrant music scene, which will be broadcast from Monday 13th – Thursday 16th November in extended editions of New Music Fix Daily, from 7-10pm.
The four programmes will feature live performances, guest mixes from a selection of producers and DJs who create the soundtrack to Glasgow's musical underground, and more contributions from the tastemakers, beatmakers, creatives and collectives at the heart of the city's sound.
From Monday – Wednesday, Tom and Deb will broadcast from BBC Pacific Quay studios and their shows will feature sessions from post-punk band CG8, rapper and producer Miso Extra and genre-defying collective corto.alto, as well as guest mixes from Scottish producers and DJs, Pub, Hudson Mohawke and Rebecca Vasmant.
On the Thursday, Tom and Deb bring New Music Fix Live to SWG3 in Glasgow, where Sofia Kourtesis will perform live and Sega Bodega will DJ in front of an audience of 6 Music listeners.
Sofia Kourtesis says: "Thank you 6 Music for all your support and inviting me to Glasgow, can't wait to share this night together!"
Sega Bodega says: "Looking forward to being back in my homeland to play some of the music I've been working on over the last few months, and thanks to 6 Music for being so supportive over the last release."
Samantha Moy, Head of BBC Radio 6 Music says: "Like so many cities around the UK, Glasgow's music scene is flourishing. We're looking forward to shining a light on the city's talented creatives and bringing listeners four days of live performances and DJ sets from some of the fantastic artists that Tom and Deb have championed since the show began in June."
The full line-up for New Music Fix Live is as follows:
