Musiio Launch “Musiio App†02 Mar 2020
...and it’s already being used to digitalise two of the biggest music catalogues in Africa!
Musiio, the music tech company specialising in artificial intelligence have just launched a new product, aiming to make AI more accessible to everyone in the Music Industry. It’s called Musiio App, and it’s a self-service dashboard that let’s anyone use AI to Tag and Search their own catalogue of music.
Musiio has been working solidly for the last 6 months to launch Musiio App, the AI tool that is affordable for Indie Labels, DJs, Boutique Production houses, Sync companies, curators and more. At only 5p per track with no lock in, anyone with a music catalogue can now leverage this technology to add rich metadata to all their audio and use audio-reference search (using audio to search other audio) to find what they need in their catalogue.
We are really excited to launch Musiio App globally, and to have Ian at Digital Cupboard be one of the very first people to show how the technology can be used. One of the first things I am always asked about our AI is “does it work?” and of course I know it does! But it’s easier to show people than tell them, so we’ve made Musiio App free for the first 25 tracks (no credit card needed), so anyone can try the technology and decide for themselves.

I am in the process of digitising two of the largest music catalogues in Africa and have been looking for a suitable technology partner who could help me with (metadata) tagging, the most important thing for me is that the tech actually works. It would take far too long to do all of these tags manually, so to finally have a piece of technology that does the job it says it does, is a huge timesaver.
With Musiio App I can drag and drop the music and received my tags shortly after. After trying a few hundred tracks, I'm really happy with the results and how easy it is to use.
The thing that I like the most is the BPM and key, this is a particularly laborious task I’m glad I don’t need to do manually. I’m very impressed with the latest genre updates too, especially now that it includes Afro genres of which are widely used in the catalogues I’m currently working with.
