Warner Chappell Music has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with iconic Mexican Grupero, Bronco

Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with iconic Mexican Grupero, Bronco. The deal covers the group’s classic hit songs like “Dos Mujeres, un Camino,” “Vamos a Amarla Los Dos,” “Libros Tontos,” and more. Known for their unique sound that pays tribute to the Norteño tradition while incorporating modern instruments and a melodic pop style, Bronco has sold more than 14 million albums worldwide, making them one of the most successful Mexican groups of all time.

Bronco said: “We’re excited to have a partner like Warner Chappell, who we trust to amplify our music and our voices throughout the region and beyond. With Carlos, Gustavo, and the entire team behind us we’re ready to show more people across the world what Bronco and the regional Mexican genre is all about.”

“Bronco’s timeless hits have brought a contagious feel-good energy to fans of all ages across North & South America for decades,” said Carlos Ruiz, Managing Director, Warner Chappell Music Mexico. “Their music embodies the traditions, cultures, and experiences of so many in the Mexican community and the stories they tell through their sound are ones we should all be listening to.”

“The Mexican regional genre is a staple among Spanish-speaking communities in Mexico and the U.S., and we know it has the power to command recognition on a global scale,” said Gustavo Menendez, President, Warner Chappell Music Latin America. “As the genre continues to explode, we’re proud to work with an iconic group like Bronco to help bring their incredible music to even more fans.”

Bronco first received international recognition in the late ‘80s thanks to “Que No Quede Huella (May No Traces Be Left)” from their 1989 album A Todo Galope, and have since released countless hit albums like Pura Sangre, featuring “Dos Mujeres, un Camino,” which earned Gold and Platinum records in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay. After a brief hiatus in the late ‘90s, the group returned in 2003 with Siempre Arriba, which landed a Grammy nod for Best Mexican/Mexican American Album. They quickly followed up with Sin Riendas a year later, which went straight to No. 1 on the Latin Albums and Mexican Regional Albums charts.

As one of the most prolific touring bands in the genre with more than 200 shows a year, Bronco has brought their captivating live show across North and South America with packed shows at Azteca Stadium, the Plaza de Toros México, and the Estadio Universitario de Monterrey. Current bandmembers Jose Guadalupe Esparza, Jose Adan Esparza, Rene Esparza Bass, Ramiro Delgado Jr., and Javier Cantú, continue to tour and are working on their next album due out early 2021 with the first single dropping August 21.
