Stereo Honey has signed a worldwide deal with W Songs, the in-house publishing arm of the Warner Music UK Sync team

Up-and-coming London-based Stereo Honey has signed a worldwide deal with W Songs, the in-house publishing arm of the Warner Music UK Sync team.

W Songs has traditionally offered short term deals, typically ranging from three to six months, with a heavy focus on securing sync placements. Stereo Honey are the first act to sign a long-term deal. Through W Songs and their ADA deal, the band will benefit not only from sync opportunities, but will also have access to marketing, distribution, and other resources within Warner Music’s global network.

Having been set up in 2017 as an alternative to traditional music publishing, W Songs not only focuses on strategic sync placements for its writers in places like Love Island, EastEnders, PlayStation and TK Max, but it also provides songwriters with access to writer support, session coordination and first-class collection by Warner Chappell Music UK. W Songs also works closely with ADA to provide label services for writers looking for distribution.

Tim Miles, VP, Sync, Warner Music UK, says: “It’s an amazing opportunity to bring Stereo Honey into the Warner Music ecosystem. Our relationship with allow us to work with them on sync but also help them grow and develop as artists.

Miles added: “Sync has become an incredibly important part of the music business. For us to be able to adapt, evolve and be nimble enough to create bespoke deals like this only adds to value that Warner Music can offer artists.”

Hide Whone, Stereo Honey co-manager alongside Anthony Crook at Theory Management adds: “We’ve worked with Tim and the W Songs team for some time now and have achieved great sync results. Now, entering into the band’s debut album campaign, we’re really pleased that we are the first artist to sign a long term deal. We’ve always really respected the W Songs model and what they are creating.”

Stereo Honey are a four-piece indie band from South London, UK – Pete, Ben, Nicky and Jake – who make soulful indie guitar music, sprinkled with Pete’s angelic vocals. They have released two EP’s to date – 2017’s Monuments and 2018’s What Makes You A Man. They have picked up big sync placements in both the UK and US, including FIFA18 soundtrack.

Stereo Honey released their new single ‘You Are A Monster’ on 4th October 2019 produced by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers/Twin Atlantic), distributed through Warner Music’s ADA via their label deal with LAB Records.
