Rising global star Au/Ra has signed a worldwide deal with Warner/Chappell Music.

Rising global star Au/Ra has signed a worldwide deal with Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group.

Au/Ra is perhaps best known for ‘Panic Room’, her collaboration with DJ duo CamelPhat, which has generated more than 40 million streams to date, made Number Five in the UK dance charts as well as topping the Amazon dance chart for 2018 and landing in the Top 20 in Billboard’s end of year dance chart.

Au/Ra says: “Songwriting is my creative outlet, and it’s at the heart of what I do as an artist. I’m so happy to be working with the team at Warner/Chappell moving forward, and I can’t wait to collaborate with some of their amazing songwriters! The last 18 months have been crazy and I’m so excited to be releasing more music in 2019.”

Mike Smith, Managing Director, Warner/Chappell Music UK, adds: “Au/Ra is already proving an incredible songwriter, combining lyrics about serious issues with infectious upbeat melodies.  She’s already made a huge impact and her career is only just beginning – we look forward to supporting her as she becomes a massive star.”

Au/Ra is the stage name of Jamie Aura Stenzel.  She has an international background, being the daughter of German music producer Torsten Stenzel, and being born in Ibiza and raised in Antigua.

She burst onto the music scene in 2018 with ‘Panic Room’ and also featured on Alan Walker’s ‘Darkside’, which went to Number One in his native Norway and has racked up more than 100 million streams worldwide.

Au/Ra just released an EP (on RCA/Sony) titled “X Games”, which contains “Emoji”, a song about the safety net of talking to someone through text messages rather than meeting in real life.

Recent months have seen her out on the road on a North American tour in support of Swedish pop star Tove Stryke as well as touring across Europe with Eden, before concluding with Pete Tong’s UK arena tour.
