Kobalt Signs Publishing Deal With The Other Songs

Kobalt today announced it has signed a worldwide agreement with The Other Songs. The partnership with the independent British music company includes publishing administration, creative services and synch for all of The Other Songs’ catalogue/future works.

"Whenever our Creative team at Kobalt looks at partnering with outside A&R sources, it has to be with people who bring something unique to what we already have” said Kobalt UK Head of Creative Alison Donald, and added "Billy, Alastair & Sophia have a great passion for song craft and songwriters that is reflected in the diverse talent that is associated with The Other Songs - both as a live showcase and label and now as a publisher."

The Other Songs is a live music event where artists, producers and top executives of the music industry come to hear available songs, performed by the artists and songwriters who wrote them. Since its inception, these events have seen more than 100 songwriters perform in the UK and US with some of the world’s most successful songwriters performing their songs. In 2018, The Other Songs record label and management arm was established, which now holds a roster of 12 acts, including heavyweight songwriter RuthAnne. They are now venturing into Publishing too, in partnership with Kobalt, to develop songwriters and artists.
