Kaleidoscope festival returns to London’s iconic Alexandra Park & Palace for 2020

On 25th July 2020, Alexandra Park and Palace will once again play host to a kaleidoscope of music and arts, set high above the London skyline on the site’s rolling hills and inside its impressive court and Victorian basements. Featuring huge live performances, mesmerising DJ sets, comedy, theatre and immersive performances, as well as family entertainment, Kaleidoscope 2020 is set to be the best one yet. 2020’s event will be revealing its first wave of artists in the new year.

In 2018, thousands ascended to Alexandra Palace’s beautiful grounds to celebrate Kaleidoscope Festival’s unforgettable debut, which featured a spectrum of talent across music, theatre, comedy and spoken word. Highlights included blistering poetry from punk legend Dr. John Cooper Clarke, side-splitting comedy from Mark Watson and Katherine Ryan, immersive, experimental theatre from RIFT and stellar performances from Ghostpoet, The Go! Team and The Flaming Lips, who closed the festival on an incredible high. Next year, however, the festival promises to be even better.

In July 2020, Alexandra Palace will once again throw open its gates and its rolling hills to welcome a vibrant and eccentric cast of performers for a summer celebration like no other, where music, theatre and comedy will embrace in a collision of beautiful noise, brilliant ideas and brazen colour. As well as a mainstage on the palace grounds with stunning views across London, the festival will feature performances inside the palace, and spoken word and immersive entertainment in the palace's Victorian basements, which are rarely opened to the public.

Simon Fell, Director of Event Operations at Alexandra Palace, comments:
“It was incredible to see so many people of all ages enjoying such a diverse mix of music, theatre, comedy and performing arts at the first Kaleidoscope Festival back in 2018. After a year’s hiatus, we cannot wait to welcome people back once more, for an event like no other set in the grounds and palace. We look forward to revealing 2020’s programme in the new year.”
