Jamendo strengthens its team with the arrival of Theo Short, former Product Manager at Skype (Microsoft)

Jamendo, the pioneer music platform for DIY artists founded in 2004, appoints Theo Short as Product Manager in order to take its digital strategy to the next level. Expertise in thriving digital products and passion for music come together in this new hire to develop new music services and improve Jamendo's user experience in 2021.

Theo Short
Theo joins Jamendo with more than 20 years of product management and development experience in digital products, gained from 10 years at Skype (Microsoft) and 11 years in the UK Digital TV sector.

During that time, he helped deliver innovative customer-focused digital products, including Europe's first 'Video on Demand' service, the introduction of Skype video calling services into millions of Smart TVs, and the in-life management of flagship products, including the Skype for Windows desktop application.

Theo also has a musical background. "Both my parents were professional singers, and in my younger years, I played piano, clarinet, and E-Flat bass. After university, my first job was at the BBC, where I worked in music radio and trained to be a sound engineer at the BBC World Service. Joining Jamendo feels a perfect fit for me, and I'm excited to join a very talented team that helps independent artists distribute and monetize their music in a fair way.", declares Theo.

Within this framework, Jamendo is hiring. Consult the job offers on the group's website: https://www.audiovalley.com/en/jobs/job-openings/

In the opinion of Jocelyn Seilles, General Manager at Jamendo: “Theo brings experience, energy, and a great product vision to the company. We are fortunate to have him on board”.
