FUGA announces partnership with Odyssey Music Network; inks deal with Phat Penguin



● FUGA will be handling both digital and physical distribution for Berlin-based Odyssey Music Network, whose roster includes Apocalyptica, Asaf Avidan and Royal Republic
● FUGA partners with Austrian label and management company, Phat Penguin, continuing expansion in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (GSA)


Downtown Music Holdings-owned FUGA, the world’s leading full-service B2B distributor, announces its partnership with renowned Berlin-based Artist Management and Label Services agency, Odyssey Music Network. Continuing its expansion within the GSA region, FUGA also announces its new partnership with Vienna-based label and management company, Phat Penguin.

The new deal with Odyssey Music Network will see FUGA providing a full-suite of both digital and physical distribution for the company’s high-caliber roster, as well as a breadth of marketing services including content management across YouTube and access to FUGA’s extensive trends and analytics platform and sync offering.

With an established international roster that includes Royal Republic, Asaf Avidan, Heather Nova and Apocalyptica - the latter selling over 6 million albums worldwide and accumulating over 400 million streams - Odyssey Music Network have been key industry players for more than 15 years.

Serving as a hub for high-quality artist management, music publishing, marketing and networking services, Odyssey are also responsible for nurturing emerging German talent including Power Plush, Saint Chaos and Blond with Power Plush and Blond nominated this year for a VUT and Preis für Popkultur award respectively.

FUGA announces its new partnership with Vienna-based label and management company Phat Penguin who include mainstay electronic act Kruder & Dorfmeister as part of their eclectic roster of talent.

The new deal will see FUGA handling global digital distribution and marketing strategy services for the company, including digital account management. Phat Penguin will also employ FUGA’s content management across YouTube and access to the company’s sync and analytics offering.

Founded in late 2017 by Benjamin Bruest and Hannes Eder - the former Managing Director of Universal Music Austria - Phat Penguin is dedicated to supporting rising Austrian talent across its boutique label and artist management services, boasting a unique roster that already includes Buntspecht, Felix Kramer, Lahra and emerging newcomers, Leftovers.
