Epic Studios presents...
01 July 2020 - Press releaseIn aid of Music Venue Trust
Live at 8pm on Friday 3rd July
With music venues still firmly shut, Norwich’s Epic Studios have created a unique response in ‘That Music Thing’; a fully produced, 30 minute live music programme aiming to showcase new and existing talent and offer a helping hand to the live music industry via a partnership with Music Venue Trust.
Whilst watching the programme live when it streams on Friday 3rd July, viewers will be able to support smaller venues around the country threatened with closure via a Donate button that will channel all monies to Music Venue Trust.
The debut show will conform with government guidelines on social distancing and will feature Maya Law, Sleemo, the act formed by former New Scientists frontman, a bit of flam-boyancy from Red Wine Talk and Vapours straight out of the stellar nursery that is Access Creative. All the artists will be interviewed by Norwich musician and radio presenter Sam Coe.
Beverley Whitton, Strategic Director of Music Venues Trust said:
"Music Venue Trust is grateful for all of the creative ways that people are thinking of to raise money for the #saveourvenues campaign. Epic Studios have put a lot of work into creating an exciting event that will look and sound great as well as following all of the necessary safety guidance. We look forward to enjoying TMT's opening show and hope you will all join us!"
Rick Lennox, Live Music Manager at Epic Studios and the driving force behind bringing ‘That Music Thing’ to life said:
“I think it’s great that these Norwich artists are so keen to do something for the Music Venue Trust knowing how important every grassroots venue is in the UK and not just their own home town.”
