Bureau Export's London office announces new B2C site and brand refresh

2016 was a benchmark year for French artists in the UK. The triumph of Christine and the Queens (who had the year’s bestselling debut album) won’t have escaped anyone’s attention, French producer Kungs also hit No2 on the Official UK Singles Chart with ‘This Girl’ (held off only by Drake), Caravan Palace made high-profile TV appearances – including Jools’ Annual Hootenanny alongside Christine and the Queens - and artists as diverse as Jain, Her, Acid Arab, Adam Naas and Fakear have been getting the thumbs up from tastemakers.

2017 is already shaping up beautifully, with a new album from François and the Atlas Mountains announced in March and many more gems to come.

With this in mind, the time is right for the London office of bureauexport to launch its new public-facing website, ouilove.co.uk, which will replace the previous French Music UK blog.

Oui Love has previously been used as a brand for an annual tour of French artists in the UK but will now cover the site, social media, regular London-based nights and bureauexport’s presence at festivals. The first of these will take place at Birthdays in Dalston on 9th March and features Sônge, Juveniles, DBFC and Bantam Lyons. The same acts can also be seen the day before during ILMC at the ‘Testing 1 to 3 – bureauexport session’ at Bodo’s Schloss from 1-3pm.

For the Oui Live live events in London, bureauexport is delighted to have one of the UK’s most influential and respected music sites, The Line of Best Fit, as its media partner.

The Line of Best Fit’s editor Paul Bridgewater said
“Since the creation of the site, The Line of Best Fit's focus on new music discovery has been far-reaching. Recognising an ever-growing French scene, we are delighted to partner with Oui Love for a series of UK shows showcasing the best talent in French music. Through the partnership, we are also looking forward to furthering our presence in the country, part of the team being now based in France.”

The subtitle for Oui Love is ‘Music Made in France’, to reflect the fact that bureauexport works with artists of various nationalities who are signed or published in France, but also to acknowledge the sheer multiplicity of identities that the term ‘French music’ can sometimes fail to encompass.
