BMG Production music triumphs with a record nine wins at the Production Music Awards

In the first year of entering the PMAs, an expert panel selected nine BMGPM winners, including four of its wholly-owned label works in the six-category synch section

 

BMG Production Music (BMGPM) - the world's fastest-growing production music company proudly providing high-end music for the broadcast, advertising, film and gaming sectors - triumphed at the Production Music Awards (PMAs) held at London's 8 Northumberland Avenue on November 23rd, with a record nine wins in its first year of entering.

BMGPM impressed the PMAs expert panel, comprising 36 judges for 2018, gaining five top accolades for its wholly-owned labels and four more for third-party labels represented by the company - within nine of 20 categories. These wins span all three sections of the awards: best newcomer, composition, and four out of six categories within synch - highlighting BMGPM's leading usable, synch-friendly and popular tracks.

Among the BMGPM entries securing plaudits at the awards are: the dramatic trailer music for films The Current War starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison and critically-acclaimed The Shape of Water directed by Guillermo del Toro, a floaty doo-wop style tune bringing to life a fruit smoothies television advert, an epic female vocal track featured in sports streaming service DAZN's Multifootball 2018 sports promo, and the creeping soundscape for the Netflix phenomenon Stranger Things 2 trailer.

The UK-based Production Music Awards recognises and celebrates the best music libraries and composers in the production music industry. The PMAs aims to share the depth and quality of modern production music with the wider synch, media and advertising industries.
