BIMM announces Teenage Cancer Trust as new charity partner
01 February 2019 - Press releaseBIMM Institute are delighted to announce that they have chosen Teenage Cancer Trust as their official charity partner.
BIMM, the leading and largest provider of music education in Europe, plans to officially launch the new partnership on World Cancer Day, February 4th 2019. Student associations and event teams in each of the five UK colleges will be hosting fund raising activities with an initial target of £5000.
BIMM COO, David Jones – Owen said: “We regularly support charitable causes local to our seven Colleges across the UK and Europe and we are committed to fundraising for organisations where we feel we can make a real difference to the lives of young people
I’m personally very excited that our students and staff will be working together with fundraising efforts over the coming years and I’m very much looking forward to seeing the partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust evolve into a successful, long term relationship”
This partnership is a very special one as both BIMM Institute and Teenage Cancer Trust enjoy the patronage of Roger Daltrey CBE, the legendary frontman of The Who
Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall was conceived and curated by the charity’s Honorary Patron Roger Daltrey CBE and he still plays a vital role in making the shows happen with events this year kicking off on Monday 25th March, This year, BIMM event management student Amelia Myers is interning at the events and there are plans to have student support for many more Teenage Cancer Trust activities throughout the year.
