BDi Music signs JERUB to worldwide deal

Rising star opened King Charles' Coronation Concert and has seen support from Spotify, Apple Music and the BBC

BDi Music has signed artist and songwriter JERUB to an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement.

Born in Nigeria before moving to Nottingham aged 10, the rising artist first made an impact in 2021 after he was shortlisted as a finalist in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge Introducing talent search, standing out among over 10,000 entries.

Going from strength to strength ever since, including an opening performance at The King's Coronation Concert alongside Pete Tong, JERUB has received widespread press support from the likes of Wonderland, Noctis and Notion. He has also appeared on a number of national TV programmes including BBC Morning Live, Laura Whitmore's Breakfast Show, Sunday Brunch and ITV's Lorraine.

With heavy playlist support also coming from Spotify and Apple Music, as well as high praise from BBC Radio 1 and over 200 UK regional playlist additions, JERUB is widely regarded as a hot prospect set for big things.

BDi Music MD Sarah Liversedge said: "We are super excited to be working with JERUB and his team – his live performance is awe inspiring, his songwriting is jaw droppingly on point, and he is one of the most humble people I have met in the industry. We are behind him all the way to the top."

BDi Music A&R James Paterson said: "The moment I first heard JERUB's music, I knew he was in a league of his own. JERUB's stellar personality shines through in his work that, alongside his talent as a songwriter and performer, is something that you can't help but marvel at. He is a truly special artist who already has a fantastic team supporting him. I'm honoured that he and his manager Thando have chosen BDi as their publishing partner in this exciting journey."

JERUB's manager Thando Zulu, founder of Zulu Music, said: "Over the last few months, both Sarah and James have really shown their commitment and enthusiasm for JERUB's journey as both a songwriter and an artist. Their passion and expertise, in addition to the shared values we have around authenticity and collaboration, made it clear that BDi is the right publishing partner for JERUB. I couldn't be happier or more confident that this is a sign of more great things to come!"

JERUB said: "I'm so happy to be joining the BDi family. James and Sarah have shown great support and have been really welcoming already. I look forward to the exciting future ahead."
