Award winning film and television score and soundtrack producer Atlantic Screen Music announces major move into frontline exploitation with appointment of Rosie Hill as Global Director of Sync



  • New appointment follows last year’s joint venture with publisher Reservoir to collaborate on a series of soundtrack and score projects
  • ASM also moves into new verticals including administration of acclaimed American record label Fervor Records

 

Award winning Atlantic Screen Music (ASM), best known for its focus on being a commissioner, financier and producer of scores for film and television including latest releases War with Grandpa and The Last Full Measure has appointed Rosie Hill as its first Global Director of Sync, ushering in a new chapter for the business following a period of exponential growth.

Hill joins from Sentric Music Group where she held the post of Global Head of Sync for nearly 4 years. There she oversaw key syncs withFord Motors CarsHalifax Bank, as well as television series including the hit BBC series Normal People and NBC drama This Is Us.

With over two decades experience in music and entertainment, Hill has worked at majors including Warner Chappell and Disney, alongside a key period at independent publisher Imagem (now Concord) whose UK sync team she latterly ran for 8 years. Rosie also sits on the Guild of Music Supervisors Rightsholders committee.

The new appointment will see Hill working across the breadth of the ASM repertoire to develop sync opportunities, partnerships and secondary exploitation initiatives.

The strategy also includes catalogue development to identify opportunities for remixes and reinterpretations of some key cues/works, as well as working collaboratively with all Atlantic divisions to develop their roster of talent and actively seek creative initiatives outside of traditional sync environment.

With offices in London and Los Angeles, ASM have commissioned and published over 150 contemporary film scores, by some of the world's leading composers, including Max Richter, Alexandre Desplat, Tyler Bates, Lorne Balfe and Clinton Shorter.

Notable credits for ASM include Atomic Blonde”, Lone Survivor and the recent box office hit After.  ASM's sync department have contributed to Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV shows, including The Grand Tour and The Long Way Up.

As a part of ASM’s strategic growth, the business has secured a new administration deal with legendary US record label, Fervor Records, best known for one stop licensing of authentic period recordings and now represent them exclusively for synchronisation in the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as selected other territories.

Last year ASM announced a new joint venture with publisher Reservoir to collaborate on a series of score and soundtrack projects.
