Amazon Music and Wondery Announce New Podcast Content Across the UK and Europe



Amazon Music and Wondery revealed today 10 new podcast announcements, from returning shows to brand new offerings, across the UK, France, Italy and Spain. The announcement comes as Amazon Music and Wondery partner with The Podcast Show, where the streaming service and content producers are hosting a number of sessions at the conference, showcasing the wealth of content and features available to listeners and creators.

In the UK, Built to Thrive returns for a second season with British physician, author and presenter Dr Rangan Chatterjee. In this daily bitesize podcast, Dr Chatterjee teaches listeners simple tricks to help them make the most of each day. The daily show will feature suggestions, stories and motivational messages to help listeners fulfil their potential and tackle everyday challenges. Additionally, Dr Chatterjee is joining the Amazon Music team at The Podcast Show to host a Q&A on how to make time for your mind. The latest series of Built to Thrive will be released in June.

In Spain, Wondery's Guerras de Negocios (Business Wars), returns for round two,following a successful first season. Recounting the journeys taken by companies, their leaders, inventors, investors, and executives as they reach new heights...or fall to ruin. Season two drops on Amazon Music in Spain in July and will also air in Italy as Guerre d'affari at the beginning of July. 

Award winning Wondery series, Harsh Reality: The Story of Miriam Riviera,will air in Spain in June and explores the making of the heart-breaking reality TV show There's Something About Miriam and its legacy. The series will be hosted by trans activist and journalist, Valeria Vega.  An Italian version will also be available to stream in Italy in June, hosted by trans activist, Daphne Bohemien. 

Tabú Mental, anew Amazon Original podcast about mental health produced by Agencia EFE will feature celebrities speaking openly about their mental health struggles and how these have affected their personal and professional careers. Spanish listeners will be able to stream the series from September, ahead of World Mental Health Day on Monday 10 October. 

Costa Nostra, another Amazon Original podcast, is a Spanish true crime documentary based on the book of the same name by Antonio Romero Ruiz and MiguelDíaz Becerra, which reveals the story of mafia organisations in Southern Spain. The podcast will be hosted by journalist Antonio Pampliega and released in October

France has seen a stellar year of brand-new Original programming to date, with two series of Penelope Bouef's 21 Jours Sans, Hors Terrain which launched on November the 21st, Premières Fois launched on March 22nd, and most recently the family favourite Boule & Bill on April 22nd.
