AIM Independent Music Awards to Take Over Roundhouse

Celebrating the leaders and pioneers of the global independent music scene, the AIM Independent Music Awards is now accepting entries for its most ambitious edition to date. The ceremony will mark 20 years of the Association of Independent Music (AIM) and champion the industry-leading creativity, innovation and performance shown by independent artists, labels and notable figures.
Taking place on 3 September, this year’s AIM Awards will make its debut at London’s iconic Roundhouse in Camden, following a long run at The Brewery. For the first time ever, the awards will be followed by a live headline show from leading independent artists, with tickets available to members of the public.
Submissions are open to AIM members and non-members alike, closing on 14 June herewww.aimawards.co.uk. The entries will then be considered by an expert jury – spanning music critics, presenters and tastemakers from across the music and media industries –before the shortlist is announced.
Since its inception, the AIM Independent Music Awards has honoured an exceptional and diverse range of independent artists, labels and executives, including Adele, Björk, Stormzy, The Prodigy, Peggy Gou, Wolf Alice, London Grammar, Ninja Tune, Transgressive, Martin Mills, Goldie and Steve Beckett. From outstanding musicianship to career-spanning achievements, the 16 categories honour the inspirational work across the independent community of artists and entrepreneurs in music.

Tickets for the ceremony, which include a drinks reception, three-course meal, access to the after-party and a host of live performances, will be available from 3 June.

The AIM Independent Music Awards celebrates the diverse, wide-ranging work and achievements of the UK music industry, and champions those who continue to push the boundaries of independent music.
